A New Face on a Court in Turmoil

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson joined the Supreme Court today. She is the first female African-American justice. Her arrival coincides with the Court’s upending of five decades of law on abortion that saw the reversal of Roe v. Wade.

During her Senate confirmation Hearings she endured anger, constant interruptions, and vile accusations…but came through it with poise and courage.
